Help with using the site
The site has a number of main navigation sections. The links of the main horizontal navigation at the top are repeated at the bottom of each page. The current section is highlighted by a change in colour of the background, the removal of the link and the lack of underlining on mouse over. All pages except the home page also have a breadcrumb trail below the top navigation.
The only use of Javascript is in the display of larger versions of product images using a pop-up light box effect. If visitors do not have access to Javascript the images will display normally in a new page, requiring the use of the back function of the browser to return to the original page.
Some links to external sites, normally sites not directly associated with SP Supplies, may open in a new tab or browser window. That a link opens in such a way will be indicated either by the pop-up link title or in page content near the link. All other links will open in the same tab or browser window.
All information is provided in HTML except for some Adobe Acrobat PDF format files.
Adobe Acrobat PDF Files
PDF format files are used where necessary to allow visitors to, for example, print content at actual size. An additional program may be required to read these files and the free Acrobat Reader is widely used (link will open in new tab or window).
For Windows PCs only there is also the free Foxit Reader - a much smaller download (link will open in a new tab or window).
Accessibility
As a basic starting point, this site has been designed to comply with current standards, which is probably the greatest accessibility aid.
This site should display well in all modern browsers, and even many of those that may not be so modern. All images have "alt" tags and visitors with images turned off, using text only browsers or screen readers, should have a satisfactory experience and have access to all information on the site.
If you have any difficulty using the site or have any suggestions on how accessibility could be improved, please use the feedback form on our contact page.
